6/24/2023 0 Comments Becoming a Dad by Lisa MarshallHowever, throughout my life, it’s the little things that have made the biggest difference to my self-identity as an independent, disabled, young woman. My first Balder F290 powerchair allowed me to do big things such as being able to participate fully in senior school and live independently at university in Bournemouth. A Balder powerchair has proven that it can do this. My main aim for a wheelchair is that it allows me to be as independent as possible, in both the big and little things in life, while being able to adapt to my needs as they change. After researching a few different options, I decided that for my needs and the functionality I wanted it to have, a Balder F280 wheelchairreally was my best option and here’s why. As it became obvious that my powered wheelchair would need replacing, just due to wear and tear, I started to consider whether an Etac wheelchair was my best option. The first one lasted well, but after 11 years of good use, including carrying the Olympic flame and going to the trenches, the old one has been retired and a shiny new one was ordered and has now arrived. I have had a Balder wheelchair since I was 11. Hi! My name is Lisa Marshall, I am 22 and the new resident blogger for Etac, after finishing my Psychology degree at Bournemouth University.
